Sheinbaum rules out a split in the Fourth Transformation and affirms unity in the movement, following Noroña's statements.

President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo responded to statements by Senator Gerardo Fernández Noroña, who recently warned of a supposed rift within the Fourth Transformation (4T). The federal leader asserted that her movement maintains strong unity and emphasized freedom of expression as a fundamental pillar within the 4T.
“I don't agree at all. There's a lot of unity in our movement, a lot. So I don't agree with anything he said,” Sheinbaum declared during her speech, making it clear that she doesn't share the Morena legislator's statements.
The president emphasized that within the 4T, each member can express their opinion without affecting the movement's cohesion. She stressed that Noroña's comments do not cause concern or internal divisions.
“In our movement, there is freedom; everyone has an opinion. In my case, I don't agree with the statement he made. There's a lot of unity, because ultimately, what we're interested in isn't personal matters, but rather the well-being of the Mexican people,” Sheinbaum asserted.
The senator had stated in an interview that he saw "an internal fracture within the Fourth Transformation movement" and that opposition could emerge from within the political movement itself. However, Sheinbaum insisted that these statements do not reflect the reality of the organization or the internal dynamics of the Fourth Transformation.
For the president, the movement's cohesion is essential to maintaining the course of public policies and the well-being of citizens. The Fourth Transformation, according to Sheinbaum, is strengthened by internal dialogue, freedom of expression, and the participation of all members of the movement.
"What interests us is not something personal, but the well-being of the Mexican people," the president concluded.
