Passports will move to the building where Teleantillas was.

The headquarters of the General Directorate of Passports (DGP) will move to the building where the Teleantillas television station operated for decades, located on Fernando Alberto Defilló Avenue, at the corner of John F. Kennedy.
The concrete structure was abandoned since Channel 2 moved to the same Telesistema plant, Channel 11, until it began to be remodeled several months ago.

A third level was added to the two original levels, supported by metal beams that start from the ground and surround the entire building.
From the outside, a brigade of workers can be seen applying plaster to the walls and performing other construction tasks.
The television station's enormous antenna still remains in the northwest corner of the lot .
Other optionsThe Central Government was evaluating other options to house the Passport offices after the Naco community rejected the move to the Epokal253 building, located on Roberto Pastoriza Avenue in that area.
That lease had been agreed for 696.9 million pesos over a five-year contract, with a monthly rent of around 9.7 million pesos.
Sources close to the negotiations reported that the Teleantillas building was the chosen location. Details regarding the property's cost are still unknown.
Passports needs to relocate to another location due to the current limited operating conditions. The office is located within the same structure as the General Directorate of Immigration (DGM) on Héroes de Luperón Avenue, in the La Feria sector of the National District.
Its director, Lorenzo Ramírez, has reiterated the need for a new space to implement the electronic passport , a necessary requirement to apply for exemption from the Schengen visa .
