Lilly Téllez responds to Morena after controversial Fox News interview

PAN Senator Lilly Téllez returned to the spotlight after an interview with Fox News . During the conversation with host Rachel Campos, the legislator was questioned about "President Donald Trump's war on the cartels" and responded that U.S. cooperation in security matters would be welcomed by most Mexicans.
Téllez stated that the main opponents of this collaboration would be "narco-politicians, President Claudia Sheinbaum, and her entire group." The statement generated an immediate reaction from the ruling party, which was quick to respond.
The national leader of Morena, Luisa María Alcalde , issued a statement accusing Lilly Téllez of acting with "unbridled ambition" and of being willing to "sell out the country." She also stated that both government supporters and opposition members "will be judged by the people and by history."
In response to these statements, the PAN senator responded on social media, accusing the ruling party of prioritizing the cartels over national security. "For the good of Morena, the cartels came first. That is the priority of the President of Mexico," she wrote.
In a second message, Téllez recalled her history of speaking out against corruption and mentioned that she even survived an armed attack, which, she said, hasn't stopped her from her political work. "You're wrong, @Claudiashein. You don't intimidate me. I'm telling the truth, in defense of Mexicans," she stated.
