Cristina Kirchner assisted a leader injured by police during the pensioners' protest.

Former PresidentCristina Kirchner provided assistance toNicolás Caropresi , leader of the Movement of Excluded Workers ( MTE) , who was injured during a police crackdown at a demonstration defending retirees ' rights. This information was shared by Juan Grabois , leader of the movement to which the injured person belongs, on his social media.

The incident took place near the National Congress , where Federal Police officers attempted to prevent protesters from disrupting traffic at the intersection of Callao and Avenida Rivadavia, following the anti-picket protocol developed by Security Minister Patricia Bullrich.

Caropresi intervened to protect the protesters, including Father Paco Olveira, during the clashes. During the incident, he was hit by blows and tear gas, after which he was taken to the Patria Institute. There, Cristina Kirchner expressed her solidarity with the leader and helped with the initial treatment until he could receive adequate treatment.

In response to this incident, Grabois shared what happened on social media and, in addition to thanking Cristina Kirchner for her presence, offered a reflection on what happened. "Nico literally put his body on the line to defend the retirees, and specifically Father Paco, from the police beating. He endured the tear gas and the beatings. What befits a Popular Party leader. Nico isn't the only one, but he's one of the best," he noted.

"Former President Cristina Kirchner was at the Instituto Patria. She came down from her office to express her solidarity and participated in the healings. If it weren't part of the national tragedy, it would be cinema. The problem is that it's not fiction. It's reality. And these people are taking us to places where it's very difficult to return. It's up to us, each from our own trenches, to leave everything behind to defend what remains of social justice until the executioners of the people leave," Grabois wrote in X.

In addition to this post, Grabois shared a video of the clash between militants and police during the Wednesday demonstration in defense of retirees, which often leaves some injured due to clashes with security personnel.

After another crackdown on retirees and their advocates, @CaropresiNico was transferred from @mteargentina to the Instituto Patria for initial treatment.
