SME retail sales fell in May, although the year-to-date figure continues to rise.

CAME (Argentine Confederation of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises) also surveyed merchants' expectations and whether they consider this a good time to invest.
In May, retail sales of small and medium-sized businesses registered a year-on-year drop of 2.9% at constant prices, according to the survey by the Argentine Confederation of Medium-Sized Enterprises (CAME) . In the seasonally adjusted monthly comparison, a decrease of 0.7% was also observed compared to April.
Despite this decline, the year-to-date figure shows an 11% increase compared to the same period in 2024, driven by a low comparison base and some recovery in activity in the first months of the year.
