The designation of six criminal cartels in Mexico as "global terrorist organizations" will force the Financial Intelligence Unit (UIF) of the Ministry of Finance to adopt stricter control measures on the operations of all financial institutions in the country to ensure the legal origin of the resources in which they have some role.
