Colombia now has ambassadors in Morocco and Finland: who are they?

Colombia's new ambassadors to Morocco and Finland took office before Foreign Minister Rosa Villavicencio, the Foreign Ministry announced.
Colombia's new representatives abroad are career diplomatic and consular ambassadors Carlos Forero, who will travel to Morocco, and Ambassador Ruth Mery Cano, who will travel to Finland.
" Both are career ambassadors with extensive and recognized experience in various diplomatic and consular missions in our country ," Villavicencio said, quoted in a statement from her office.
Chancellor Villavicencio highlighted the extensive experience of both ambassadors and how their commitment to the country will guarantee work that benefits the " highest interests of the Colombian State, both in Finland and Morocco ."
" In the case of Ambassador Ruth Mery, I must highlight her valuable work in the missions of Belgium, Nicaragua, Japan, and Spain, as well as her leadership in the Foreign Ministry's Consular and Multilateral Political Affairs Directorates, among many others ," Villavicencio said.
In the case of Ambassador Forero, he also highlighted his " more than 30 years of experience in the foreign service with an impeccable track record serving the Colombian people ," he explained.
The new ambassadors will be responsible for carrying the message of promoting peace, democratic values, international law, and dialogue, in support of strengthening Colombia's historic and close bilateral relations with Morocco and Finland, the Foreign Ministry stated.
