Air France direct flights from Paris to Punta Cana in winter 2026

Tourism Minister David Collado announced this Wednesday that French airline Air France will resume direct flights between Paris and Punta Cana starting next winter, with three weekly flights.

Good news for tourism in the Dominican Republic ,” the official wrote on his X account, sharing a post from the specialized media L'Écho Touristique , which confirms the airline's decision.

According to the French outlet, Air France will operate direct flights from Paris's Charles de Gaulle Airport to Punta Cana between January 13 and March 28, 2026, aboard a Boeing 777-300ER . Fares will be around €699 for a round-trip ticket.

The report highlights that, with this resumption, Punta Cana becomes the sixth Caribbean destination served by Air France from Paris, along with Cayenne (French Guiana), Pointe-à-Pitre (Guadeloupe), Fort-de-France (Martinique), Saint-Martin and Havana (Cuba).

Why were the flights suspended?

L'Écho Touristique recalls that the airline had suspended its flights to the Dominican Republic starting in the summer of 2023, due to rising fuel prices and the imposition of a local tax on jet fuel, which reduced the route's profitability.
