NODO 2025: Days of celebration and reflection are coming for local art.

More spaces for encounter, reflection, and partnerships will distinguish the 2025 edition of NODO Art Gallery Circuit , the three-day event to explore and enjoy contemporary art in Buenos Aires. A program of free activities will run from Thursday, May 8th to Saturday, May 10th , from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with guided tours, activations, and artist encounters.
The initiative of MERIDIANO , the Argentine Chamber of Art Galleries, is consolidated and deepened with the incorporation this year of a Program of Conversations with International Guests and an Acquisitions Program with museums and institutions, which energizes the market.

“In addition to a gallery visibility project, which seeks to highlight their role and daily management in representing artists, we felt it was important to provide NODO with a program with specific content,” says Gonzalo Lagos , Executive Director of MERIDIANO. “By immersing key players in the Argentine art scene through visits and contacts, we wanted to give these guests a voice so they could share the projects and challenges of the institutions they represent.”
A total of 68 participating galleries , representing more than 600 artists, are spread across eight circuits : Recoleta, Retiro, Palermo, Villa Crespo, San Telmo, La Boca, Microcentro, and Torre Macro. As a new feature for NODO 2025, Banco Macro's flagship building in Catalinas Norte—the event's main sponsor—is hosting an exhibition linking works from MERIDIANO galleries located in Salta, Córdoba, Colonia Caroya, Rosario, Rafaela, and Buenos Aires.

Curated by Lara Marmor , Unpredictable Encounters brings together the works of 22 artists from across the country working with different languages, materials and poetics, all created between 2020 and 2025, a time of emerging awareness about the climate crisis , as well as the relevance of a new artistic imagination in search of some answers.

This "public working table" between various actors and agents of the local and international scene, according to Jimena Ferreiro , curator of the museum and moderator, aims to "think about situated curatorial practice to encompass the need for debates on institutionalized models of artistic making and their modes of circulation, and to imagine scenarios that encourage the development of critical thinking."
On Saturday the 10th, Brazilian Thiago de Paula Souza , a member of the curatorial team for the upcoming São Paulo Biennial , will share the axes and challenges of the major event that opens on September 6th in a conference, also open to the public, at the Friends of Bellas Artes Auditorium (Av. Figueroa Alcorta 2270).
Everything was fantastic. The Gabriel Baggio exhibition at the Hache Gallery will have a guided tour on Thursday at 4 p.m.
The Buenos Aires Museum of Modern Art, the Franklin Rawson Museum , and the Ama Amoedo Collection are among the institutions invited to NODO's new Acquisitions and Institutional Engagement program. A program of gallery and artist visits was designed for curators, professionals, and national and international collections, boosting the local market.
"In addition to the private purchases that take place within the framework of NODO, we wanted to invite specific collections and museums to energize the market at a time like this, and to give it an institutional framework," Lagos explains.
This program, designed to foster exchange, reflection, and the development of new collaborations among stakeholders, is supported by the Spain Cultural Center in Buenos Aires (CCEBA), the Argentine Agency for Investment and International Trade, the country brand Visit Argentina, and Aerolíneas Argentinas.
At Central Affair. Several events will be taking place simultaneously at the Larreta Gallery, including new pieces by Marcos López.
A new edition of the GCH Prize , which invites contemporary artists to submit projects for real estate projects, will be announced during NODO 2025. The first edition was awarded Affective Geometry by Elba Bairon , whose sculpture has already been placed on the esplanade of a luxury tower in the northern zone.
The new edition is dedicated to Orion Park , a new mixed-use building located within the Innovation Park , which seeks unpublished pieces that dialogue with the urban environment and the spirit of the building, from local artists represented by galleries.
