Lisa and Tyla’s “When I’m With You” music video begins with a weather forecaster saying it’s shaping up to be the “hottest summer ever” amid a heatwave. Lisa and Tyla lean into that premise, showing off a sultry wardrobe full of cut-out dresses, crop tops, and lace-up heels as they sing the flirty track from Lisa’s Alter Ego.
Lisa released “When I’m With You” in February, but fans had to wait months for its official music video. The K-pop star teased its release earlier today and praised her collaborator, writing, “Had the best time making this music video with @tyla 😘” And it shows:
Lyrically, “When I’m With You” captures the excitement of a casual fling blossoming into much more. In the first verse, Lisa and Tyla sing about being unable to resist a new love interest despite their friends’ warnings:
“My girls told me take it slow / But they don’t know what I know / Say I need to stay composed / But they don’t know what I know / Told me I should leave you alone / Told me, ‘Stay your ass at home’ / But I don’t mind / Cou-cou-could’ve been a good girl, but I won’t be / I’ma turn one night to a whole week / Look at me now, I’m inside-out, so wild / I’ma let you control me / Gi-gi-give it to me good like you own me / All my pride goes out the window.”
The rest of the song focuses on Lisa and Tyla pursuing the relationship, while its music video serves up a sizzling mood board for true hot-girl summer fashion. Watch the video above, and take in the full song lyrics below:
