Investigation into the discovery of a fetus in a drain in front of a hospital

The incident occurred this Saturday morning, when a small body appeared in a drain after heavy rains in Buenos Aires.
The heavy rain that fell this Saturday morning in Ensenada left an unexpected and shocking scene outside Horacio Cestino Hospital .
As the water rushed through the storm drains, one of them, located right at the entrance to the health center on Leandro N. Alem Street, yielded something no one expected: a human fetus .
The discovery shocked and horrified those present, including medical personnel, patients, and security personnel. The Buenos Aires Police were immediately notified, who cordoned off the area and protected the scene.
According to initial hypotheses, the incident occurred as a result of an accident during a medical procedure at the hospital. Judicial sources indicated that a young woman who was about to undergo a legal abortion (ILE) suffered a seizure in the health center's bathroom.
In this context, the fetus was allegedly expelled involuntarily , and in the confusion, the patient flushed the toilet, causing the remains to reach the storm drain.
The incident occurred amid the severe storm that affected the Buenos Aires metropolitan area and Greater La Plata , where in just a few hours the same amount of rain fell as typically falls in the entire month of October. In areas like Ensenada, storm drains are a frequent focus of attention, although this time they were the focus of attention for a tragic and unusual reason.
The investigation was led by the Functional Investigation Unit (UFI) No. 7 of La Plata, headed by prosecutor Virginia Bravo, who ordered the intervention of experts and forensic doctors on site.
