In recent weeks, Mexican actress Florinda Meza has faced media chaos on social media, following the shocking revelations in her late husband's biopic , Roberto Gómez Bolaños.

Since the premiere of “Chespirito: Sin querer Queriendo” , Meza became the target of hundreds of criticisms and negative comments. Because the production, directed by Roberto Gómez Fernández , showed a little-known side of the actress, which she claims is completely false.

This led to the interpreter of "Doña Florinda" in the series El Chavo del 8 decided to file a defamation lawsuit against the production.

However, while the lawsuit continues its course, the repercussions have already begun to be felt in his native Juchipila, Zacatecas, where a group of residents organized an event to remove the statue of the actress, in reaction to the controversies surrounding her relationship with "Chespirito."

The recent bioseries about Roberto Gómez Bolaños rekindled negative comments against Florinda Meza, known for her iconic role in El Chavo del 8.

An event titled "Everyone to Remove the Florinda Sculpture" was created on Facebook. Its description reads: "It's enough to be 'soft-core' about them burning our town. Let's remove the sculpture of shame."

So far, more than 2,000 people have confirmed their attendance at the event against “La Vieja Chancluda.” , as some people call Meza, and another 15,000 have expressed interest. Some users have even offered lodging and organized trips from other locations, such as Mexico City.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, July 24, although it is not yet known whether the statue's removal will actually take place.

For her part, journalist Ana María Alvarado announced on the program "Sale el sol" that Meza is preparing legal action against those responsible for the series. "She's already preparing a lawsuit," the journalist announced exclusively, adding that it won't be with attorney Guillermo Pous, who originally represented her.

"She's already moved to another office. I've heard from very good sources that she's preparing a super lawsuit for the defamation that has been levied against her in the story told by Roberto Gómez Bolaños's son," Alvarado said.
