Estopa, Lildami or Queralt Lahoz meet at the Maleducats festival

The dates for Barcelona's major festivals are approaching, and as a prelude, this Saturday the Parc del Fòrum in Barcelona will host the first major event of the season. This marks the return of the Maleducats festival, a series that previously focused on the urban scene, but which has changed its format and location this time to open up to other spheres of popular music.

The clearest proof of this metamorphosis is the choice of headliners. The most illustrious brothers from Cornellà de Llobregat, also known as Estopa, are extending their 25-year career celebration and will once again be enjoying the crowds at home. Yet another one. It just so happens that this is the only concert the Muñoz brothers will be performing in Catalonia this year. So, those who want to refresh their performances of Como Camarón , Partiendo la pana , Vino tinto , or El del medio by Los Chichos already know what they're doing.

Another of the prominent faces will be Lildami, who was the promoter of the same festival in his hometown, Terrassa, in 2022. Already established in the Catalan scene, he has just released his fourth album, Bentornat, in which he returns to his rap roots after the flirtations with pop that have given him hits like Supermercat .

Continuing this tour of the Barcelona metropolitan area, Colomeña-born Queralt Lahoz and her irresistible blend of hip-hop and flamenco will be making an appearance, as will Sabadell-based rapper Santa Salut. Both will also present their new albums: 9:30 PM and Queens of Groove , respectively. The former accentuates her stylistic richness with a more introspective vision than ever. The latter maintains her feminist vigor by paying homage to her Black music icons.

The lineup is completed by rock from Extremadura's Sanguijuelas del Guadiana and flamenco/hip-hop from Granada's Pepe y Vizio duo. All of this in a single day, from early evening until midnight, which is expected to be intense. A good, swashbuckling, and varied appetizer before the main dishes to come this summer.
