Angelina Jolie Was All Statuesque Elegance In Asymmetrical White Gown at Cannes
On Friday, Angelina Jolie attended the Cannes Film Festival’s Trophée Chopard Awards ceremony in an asymmetrical white gown with a cape sleeve on one side and sleeveless on the other. The skirt split up her thigh on the left, showing off her tall white heels with a decorative ankle strap and sharply pointed toe.
The star accessorized with diamond drop pendant earrings and a silver bracelet, flashing a red manicure as she waved to the crowd. Her hair was down in a long blonde wave and she wore a natural makeup palette.
Before the ceremony, Jolie attended the premiere of Eddington, starring Emma Stone, Pedro Pascal, Austin Butler, Joaquin Phoenix, Michael Ward, and Luke Grimes. The actress was wearing a strapless cream gown by Brunello Cucinelli made of textured fabric with a hemline that ended just above the carpet. Around her neck, she wore a circle of diamonds that matched her pendant earrings by Chopard. On her feet, she wore a pair of Ingiliz shoes.
At Cannes this year, Jolie was tasked with presenting the Trophée Chopard Award to Marie Colomb and Finn Bennett as the “Godmother” of the honor. Chopard co-president and artistic director Caroline Scheufele told WWD, “I am so happy to welcome Angelina Jolie as our Trophée Chopard Godmother. Her amazing film career and dedication to making a difference in the world make her an ideal role model. I know the rising talents we honor this year will be inspired by her journey and advice.”
Jolie added, “I am honored to be Godmother at the Cannes Film Festival. I am pleased to have a moment to recognize young artists and their exceptional work.”
The position comes with a promise to mentor Colomb and Bennett through the year, until the next ceremony in 2026.
