The overall price increase in the first half of February was slightly below the average of analysts' projections , which was 3.76% at an annual rate, but within the range of their expectations, which ranged from a minimum of 3.59% to a maximum of 3.90% predicted by the 32 financial institutions surveyed by Banamex, of which only one was correct in its forecast.

On the other hand, the generics whose prices fell the most were: Tomatoes with a biweekly decrease of 18.53%; nopales, -10.66%; squash, 10.27%; watermelon, 10.0%; onions, -7.81%; carrots, -4.79%; potatoes, -2.64%; lotions and perfumes, -1.74%; table wine, -1.68%; and low-octane gasoline, -0.18 percent .
