There are 68 complaints of alleged bullying in La Laguna, Coahuila, during the school year.

So far this school year, approximately 68 complaints have been received in La Laguna, Coahuila, for alleged cases of bullying, understood as repetitive and intentional behavior, by any means, by which a student attempts to intimidate, subdue, frighten, and/or frighten, emotionally or physically, the victim (another student), whether within the facilities of an educational institution or outside of it.
A large percentage of these cases are reported at the secondary education level, so the regional Educational Services Coordination continues to work with Youth Integration Centers, the Office of the Ombudsman for Children and Families, Public Security, and the DIF System to provide awareness-raising talks and promote a culture of peace and peaceful conflict resolution in schools. The aim is also to strengthen the School for Parents and promote values such as respect, responsibility, and friendship.
The regional Educational Services Coordinator, Flor Rentería, clarified that many of the complaints are not classified as bullying and that several of them are reported outside of schools, in addition to being resolved by the Anti-Bullying Department. She stated that the complaints received this school year decreased compared to the previous school year, although she did not have the figures for this year.
Yesterday, May 2nd, marked the World Day Against Bullying, and the official commented that a halt must be called and that parents and guardians must join forces to prevent and eradicate this problem. She urged them to raise awareness and not minimize the issue.
According to him, the Coahuila Educational Boost strategy, announced last year by the state government and in which 710 million pesos are being invested, includes training projects and campaigns to address this situation among its lines of action for educational transformation. One of the lines of action is Socio-emotional Education, which aims to strengthen the socio-emotional competencies of educational workers to foster their personal development and harmonious coexistence with others.
