The SSP seizes narcotics during a search at García Ginerés.

More than 2.8 kilograms of dried marijuana and 50 pieces of wax (a cannabis concentrate) were seized yesterday during a search of a property located in the García Ginerés neighborhood in downtown Mérida.
Federal and state forces executed a search warrant issued by a Control Judge. During the operation, 2,878 kilograms of cannabis distributed in bags and 50 pieces of "wax," a substance known for its high concentration of THC, the main psychoactive compound in cannabis, were seized.
The searched property was also seized by authorities. This action is the result of anonymous citizen complaints and the prior arrest of several individuals linked to the property who were possessing these substances.
The joint operation involved members of the Army, Navy, National Guard, State Investigative Police (PEI), and the SSP's K-9 Unit, as well as personnel from the State Attorney General's Office (FGE). The coordination between these institutions reinforces the authorities' commitment to dismantling drug trafficking networks in the state and ensuring citizen safety.
