Steve Aoki is booed for playing Angela Aguilar's song in the middle of a festival (VIDEO)

The Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) 2025 took place this weekend and Steve Aoki, renowned DJ, was among the presentations in Mexico of the renowned festival , however, he received rejection from the public because of Ángela Aguilar.

It was this past Sunday, February 23 , that Steve appeared by surprise on the EDC stage to offer a special performance that unleashed the euphoria and excitement of all the attendees as well as his fans. This is what happened.

Steve Aoki took the stage at EDC in Mexico and, after presenting several of his beats and mixes with global hits, the DJ decided to perform his collaboration with Ángela Aguilar, “Invítame un café”, which is a new version of “La gata bajo la lluvia” by Rocío Dúrcal, an emblematic Spanish singer.

However, Aoki's choice did not turn out as expected, because when the song started playing, the atmosphere inside the festival changed completely. The attendees reacted with boos for Steve from the moment they recognized the voice of Pepe Aguilar's daughter and now Christian Nodal's wife.
