Saltillo: Amid the Cargo Gas investigation, a document is circulating that clears Juan Manuel Muñoz Luévano of any involvement.

Amid an investigation into alleged organized crime involving the Cargo Gas gas station chain, a document circulated this Thursday by the Attorney General's Office (FGR) , following a request for information from the aforementioned, revealed that Laguna businessman Juan Manuel Muñoz Luévano does not appear in any preliminary investigation or investigation file as a responsible party or a suspect.
Last Wednesday, searches were carried out at at least four Cargo Gas stations in Saltillo, resulting in the closure of three of them. The Coahuila Delegation of the Attorney General's Office confirmed yesterday that these operations led to the opening of an investigation into alleged organized crime offenses, led by the specialized prosecutor's office.

In the midst of this investigation, Muñoz Luévano, who has been linked to the Cargo Gas service stations in various news articles, requested information from the Specialized Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime regarding investigation files or preliminary inquiries in which he appears as a suspect or identified by a third party.
According to the document, on June 18, the businessman submitted the request to the head of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office for the Investigation of Crimes Related to Hydrocarbons, Copyright, Assault, and Vehicle Theft.

In response, the FGR indicated that: “ In this regard, it is brought to your attention that after reviewing the databases that this Special Prosecutor's Office has for the Investigation of Crimes in the Area of Hydrocarbons, Copyright, Assault and Vehicle Theft, no prior investigation and/or investigation file was located in which you are related or in which you have the status of a probable responsible party and/or under investigation .”
