Lupita's Baby TikTok: Monterrey Maternal and Child Hospital accused of leaking information and negligence

The 'drama' surrounding the hospitalization of the daughter of the TikTok influencer Lupita has not only escalated on social media and in the media, it has also led to accusations of information leaks at the Maternal and Child Hospital of Monterrey, Nuevo León , where she has been hospitalized for a couple of days with symptoms of dehydration, seizures, meningitis and fever , and her health is reported to be in a delicate state.

On Tuesday morning, Lupita's TikTok manager, James Flores, conducted a live broadcast on social media from outside the hospital and in the company of Ricardo Medellín (the girl's father), along with the influencer .

The little girl's father shared details about the baby 's health : "How sad, almost another seizure and that's it. We were very happy, I wouldn't wish that on anyone, thank you very much (...) We did things right, no one is to blame, since we realized she had a fever we took her," he said in the video.

That same day, they explained that the baby would undergo a medical study to determine her brain activity, and that "they were going to do a test on her, which consists of small plates. If the lines are even, they'll declare her brain dead. They'll see if her little brain is still functioning. If the results aren't good, she'll be considered brain dead."

ACCUSED OF INFORMATION LEAK

On social media, a video went viral of several reporters and relatives of Lupita TikTok 's baby approaching the security personnel of the Maternal and Child Hospital of Monterrey, whom they complained about the alleged leak of information about the little girl and photos of the mother inside the facilities .

Apparently, they were asked to leave the hospital , but they stated that “they are not demanding that the recording not be made inside.”

"Information is being leaked from inside, they're not respecting that. Why do they demand that we leave and not demand that we record inside [...] Why do they allow people and nurses to record inside? That's not right. There are videos of Lupita inside," one person complained in the video.

However, an apparent reporter asked for information about the minor to be provided to the parents ; however, the staff refused.

Although, after the video went viral, it is known that the baby 's parents have received a supposed update , allegedly the doctors reported the possibility that the minor suffers brain death.

Later, both Karely 's father and Lupita TikTok 's manager reported that they have legal defense to file a lawsuit against the Maternal and Child Hospital of Monterrey : “ We wanted to tell you that we already have a group of lawyers who are advising us on everything wrong that has been done here at the maternity hospital [...] how poorly it has been handled from the baby's birth to the present day [...] it is very sad that they want to blame the parents and not take the necessary steps (negligence) that the birth care service they do here, they do everything wrong and we are already preparing to defend ourselves legally” ; In addition, Medellín stated that there are four litigants.
