Long live the eternal dreamers! Untouchable livens up the Grito in Torreón

This September 15th there were plenty of reasons to celebrate: the 118th anniversary of the city of Torreón, the 215th anniversary of the beginning of Mexico's Independence and the birthday of Ricardo Muñoz , vocalist of Intocable , the famous group from Zapata, Texas, who was in charge of livening up the patriotic celebrations in the aforementioned city.

Thousands of Laguna residents gathered in the heart of the municipality, the Plaza Mayor, to enjoy the popular festival that filled the streets and avenues surrounding the concrete slab.
For one night, thousands of Mexicans gathered to remember their history and highlight our traditions . Traditional cuisine delighted many palates, and mariachi music, a fundamental symbol of national identity and pride, enlivened the atmosphere before the Grito ceremony.
The green of hope, the white of unity, and the red symbolizing the blood of national heroes were prominent in every corner of the downtown area. Laguna residents of all ages didn't miss the opportunity to wear commemorative clothing, embroidered textiles, ribbons, hats, and headbands.
Mayor Román Alberto Cepeda performed the Cry of Independence from the Presidential building just after 10:00 p.m. The sky was then lit up by fireworks.
After the “ Long live Mexico! ”, shook the 28 thousand square meters of the esplanade, the group emerged from a stage placed at the height of Matamoros Avenue.
One of the most excited attendees was Ruth , from Torreón, who told this publishing house that she's currently 34 years old and has been a fan of Intocable since she was 18. The Texan has put music to various stages of her life, including motherhood. On this occasion, her nine-year-old daughter accompanied her to the concert. To make sure she didn't miss a single detail and get a spot in the front row, Ruth arrived with her little girl at approximately 7:00 PM.
At 10:33 p.m., a promotional video began. Afterward, the members settled in on stage, ready to perform their Anthology Tour.

At 10:35 p.m. , Ricky Muñoz and his accordion were back in Torreón, just like that October night in 2023 at the Centenario Coliseum, his last visit to the region. The first melody was "Dímelo ."
At 10:40 p.m., Ricky greeted his audience: “Good evening, Torreón, Coahuila.”
He warned them that during this evening he would be a man of few words, as the melodies would dominate. "We're going to let our music speak for us," he said, and from that warning came songs like "Llévame en tu viaje" (Take Me on Your Journey) , "No te vayas" (Don't Go ), and "Estás que te pelas" (You're So Crazy), which was sung in unison by thousands of voices in the audience.
For those who are " going crazy for love ," Robarte un beso (Rob Yourself a Kiss) arrived. And as if telling a love story, Por ella (Poco a poco) (For Her (Little by Little) followed. And just as a person can bring you happiness, their pride can also "kill" you, and Loser tells it beautifully.
At 11:11 At night, the mirror hour known in the spiritual world as a magical moment, they sang "Soñador eterno" ("Eternal Dreamer"). "All together," Muñoz exhorted those present, who responded happily.
“I love you, Ricky!” a woman shouted from the DIF zone, and in response, the group unwittingly played “Te amo (Para siempre). ” They also sang “Ayudame ,” “Eso duele ,” “Llueve,” and “Eres mi droga .”
In this way, the national celebrations in Torreón turned the people of La Laguna into “ eternal dreamers ,” who closed their day with a flourish, to the unparalleled rhythm of Intocable.
Their greatest hits continued to resonate, increasing the heart rate of Torreón's "heart."
