Instituto leads the Northern Conference in the National Women's League

Instituto's women's basketball team is going through a very good moment, with solid performance and a committed team. So much so that it has consolidated itself as the undisputed leader of the Northern Conference in the National Women's Basketball League. A clear example that with support, many things can be achieved.

Although, it is worth saying, the success of 'Las Gloriosas ' is not the result of chance, but of sustained effort and a work process that takes time. In that context, the coach of the Albirrojas, Daiana Di Benedetto, reflected - in an interview with the club's official website - on the path that led the team to the top. "The blow of having been left out of the Final Four by one point in the last league was hard. At the end of the season we had a meeting and we knew that we had to change things. That made us be where we are today," explained the coach, highlighting the importance of learning and self-criticism as drivers of growth.

With a clear playing identity and constant evolution, the team has become a benchmark in the competition. For this season, the goal is ambitious. “We want to finish first in the Northern Conference . The biggest goal is to be among the top four. We try to raise the individual and collective level, respecting our identity,” said Di Benedetto.

• Daiana Di Benedetto is originally from Mar del Plata. She developed her career as a player and coach at Quilmes, where she left an important mark. In addition, she has an extensive career as coordinator of women's basketball at Ameghino de Villa María. Last season she served as Cristian Santander's main assistant in the Women's League, gaining valuable experience at the highest level. She also works as head coach of the Argentina U15 National Team and has participated in the processes of the U17 and U18 national teams, where she won the bronze medal at the 2024 Americup .

Efficiency Although the team's performance is outstanding, the coach pointed out that there are still aspects to improve. Among them, she highlighted the importance of not forcing situations and enhancing the team's strong points. Finally, Di Benedetto, who joined the club in the middle of last year, stressed the value of the institution and the human group that surrounds it. “I am grateful that they have noticed me, proud to be in such a great institution and of the team , which is working hard and trying to grow day by day.”
