Harry Potter actor Jason Isaacs reveals which film destroyed his career

Though best known for his role in Harry Potter , as well as the HBO Max series, The White Lotus, Jason Isaacs believes his career ended because of one film.
The funny thing is that the movie that destroyed his career came out just one year after Jason Isaacs' debut in the Harry Potter saga.

In an interview on the Dinner's on Me podcast, Jason Isaacs stated that 2003's Peter Pan was the film that destroyed his career, despite having previously appeared in the Harry Potter series.
Jason Isaacs played Lucius Malfoy in 2002's Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, so his run at the top of his game would have lasted just a year, according to his own statements.
The actor points out that although Peter Pan received positive reviews from executives and the media in general, the public did not support it and it ended up being a box office failure.
This was one of Universal's biggest box office flops of the early 21st century, and it also condemned its entire cast to oblivion.
In this film he played both Captain Hook and George Darling , the father of Wendy and her siblings; he was one of the most important characters.

Although, in the words of Jason Isaacs , Peter Pan killed the careers of the entire cast, the actor does not regret having participated in this film.
Jason Isaacs believes the film was well done in all aspects, making it a beautiful film; however, this wasn't enough to connect with the audience.
Fortunately for the actor, he had a contract with Warner Bros. for the saga of Harry Potter , which somewhat saved it from irrelevance after the failure of Peter Pan.
Well after Harry Potter, his career was limited to small roles and voice acting roles, until he was required for the first season of The White Lotus .
