In this context, the staff headed by Maestro Mario Esparza , released the water statistics of recent years in Coyoacán, in order to identify the zones, areas or territorial units that have required greater attention in both seasons.

The staff of both departments, the Secretariat and the Mayor's Office, exchanged points of view, impressions and diagnoses, as well as specific cases that can be addressed before the dry season , since it is precisely during these dates when water shortages become present and prompt solutions are sought to meet the demands of lack of liquid.
Leaks and flooding in CoyoacánThe status of the drinking water network in the district was also reviewed, where recurring points where problems such as water leaks occur were identified, where the drainage and drinking water networks need to be replaced, and the sites where flooding is persistent and requires major intervention were also reviewed. These are 13 points that the Mayor's Office has identified.
Mario Esparza said that the secretariat under his charge will review these issues and the necessary actions will be taken to achieve coordinated and, above all, joint solutions to the water problems in Coyoacán .

Giovani Gutiérrez said: “Water is a human right, therefore, we are always attentive to working in coordination. It is the hallmark of our house; it is what has distinguished us as allies to work in coordination.” In addition, he reiterated, “ approximately 80% of the drinking water in Coyoacán comes from our own wells, however, there is still drought in some areas. We do not want water scarcity to become a social problem .”
He recalled that Coyoacán will be the host of the World Cup and, therefore, it is necessary to have an efficient and effective hydraulic infrastructure, not only because of the needs that arise in the face of such an event, but because it is an urgent need on the part of the towns and neighborhoods, as well as colonies, in the south of the state, such as the town of Santa Úrsula Coapa and the area of Los Pedregales where the colonies Adolfo Ruiz Cortines, Pedregal de Santa Úrsula (where the Azteca stadium is located), as well as Ajusco and Pedregal de Santo are located.
