Claudia Sheinbaum maintains her agenda at the G7 Summit; meeting with Donald Trump is postponed.

Although US President Donald Trump will leave the G7 Leaders' Summit on the evening of June 16 due to the situation in the Middle East , Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum will continue with her full agenda this Tuesday.
During his participation in the G7 plenary meeting, it is anticipated that he will “make an important statement.”

This will be President Claudia Sheinbaum's agenda at the G7 summit.
According to the Presidency's Social Communications Coordination , Sheinbaum will begin her activities at 11:20 a.m. with the Official G7 Photo.
From 11:40 to 12:10, the Prime Minister will meet with Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission , and António Costa , President of the European Council.
At 12:20, he will hold a bilateral meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
From 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., he will participate in the G7 plenary session, where, it is reiterated, "he will make an important statement."
Later, between 4:40 and 5:40 p.m., Sheinbaum will meet with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz , and will close her international agenda with a bilateral meeting with Mark Carney , Prime Minister of Canada , from 5:40 to 6:10 p.m.
Following these activities, the president will head to Calgary International Airport to board a commercial flight back to Mexico City.
Sheinbaum speaks out after Trump withdraws from the G7
Outside the Sheraton Hotel in Calgary, the president was interviewed about Donald Trump's announcement: "Yes, the situation in the Middle East is very intense. He made the decision to withdraw because of the situation in the Middle East, and we'll continue here tomorrow [...]."
Although the planned meeting was canceled, the Mexican president assured that "we are in contact with them."
Regarding the meetings held with the Prime Ministers of India, Narendra Modi, and Canada, Mark Carney, the Prime Minister noted that they will serve to strengthen relations with those countries: "Well, to strengthen our relations in every sense: economic, cultural, educational [...]."

The US president decided to withdraw early from the G7 Summit due to the escalating armed conflict between Israel and Iran , which reached its fourth day on June 16 and left hundreds dead in both countries.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed the announcement via social media: “ President Trump had a great day at the G7, even signing a major trade deal with the United Kingdom and Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Much has been accomplished, but given what's happening in the Middle East, President Trump will be leaving tonight after dinner with the heads of state .”

Shortly before the official statement, Trump warned on his Truth Social network that Tehran 's citizens should evacuate the Iranian capital.
“Iran should have signed the ‘deal’ I told them to sign. What a shame and what a waste of human life. Simply put, IRAN CANNOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON. I’ve said it over and over again! Everyone should evacuate Tehran immediately!” he wrote.
