Adán Augusto and Noroña are criticized on social media for accusations and a trip to the Middle East.

CDMX.– This week, social media turned against two Morena figures: Senator Adán Augusto López Hernández, accused of allegedly embezzling millions of dollars in resources, and Senator Gerardo Fernández Noroña, criticized for a controversial trip to Palestine financed by the United Arab Emirates.
According to the Analysis of Sociodigital Conversation and Political Risks, prepared by MW Group , between October 16 and 22, the digital conversation on the social network X (formerly Twitter) was dominated by an openly critical tone and indignation towards both legislators.

ADÁN AUGUSTO, IN THE EYE OF THE HURRICANE
The report details that the former Secretary of the Interior received the highest volume of negative mentions after PAN representative María Elena Pérez-Jaén filed 37 criminal complaints against him with the Attorney General's Office for alleged embezzlement of public funds.
The most widely circulated publications pointed to corruption, impunity, and cynicism, and called for a formal investigation by the National Anti-Corruption System.
According to MW Group, 33.1 percent of digital narratives focused on congratulating and supporting Pérez-Jaén for the complaints, while another 17.7 percent questioned López Hernández for “mocking” the accusations by stating that they could file “200 complaints against him if they wanted.”
Another significant segment of users (17.2 percentage points) linked his case to other scandals within Morena, highlighting a pattern of inconsistency and lack of ethics among its public figures.

NOROÑA AND HER CONTROVERSIAL TRIP
Meanwhile, Senator Gerardo Fernández Noroña was harshly questioned after announcing his temporary leave from the Senate to attend political activities in Palestine, with a trip sponsored by the government of the United Arab Emirates.
MW Group notes that 32.8 percent of social media comments accused the legislator of violating Article 37 of the Constitution by accepting foreign funding, while 21.7 percent criticized him for neglecting national issues amid the emergency caused by rains and human losses in several states.

Another 20.8 percent interpreted the trip as an attempt to distract attention from their own scandals, while 9.8 percent grouped criticisms of "Morena's cynicism," simultaneously mentioning the cases of Noroña, Adán Augusto, and Cuauhtémoc Blanco, the latter for playing padel during a legislative session.
Even activist Ceci Flores, founder of the Madres Buscadoras collective, ironically addressed the situation by inviting Noroña to participate in a search for missing persons in Sinaloa, offering her “a truck, food, and shelter.”
MORENA, UNDER DIGITAL FIRE
Both episodes converged in a single narrative on social media: the weariness of Morena and its leading figures in the face of the perception of privilege, arrogance, and lack of empathy toward citizens .
MW Group's sociodigital report warns that negative mentions of the party increased significantly during the period, with users describing the movement as a "new elite disconnected from reality."

POLITICAL RISK AND REPUTATIONAL DAMAGE
According to MW Group's analysis, both López Hernández and Fernández Noroña face high political risk, as their negative exposure occurs amid increased public scrutiny of presidential candidates and Morena supporters with political ambitions for 2030.
The document emphasizes that the digital conversation "reflects a growing disenchantment with the 4T's discourse of austerity and honesty," in contrast to the behavior of its representatives.
In this regard, experts warn that Morena's digital reputation could suffer a prolonged impact if no accountability actions or convincing explanations are provided in both cases.
