Udine recreates Pimpa's house in its 50th anniversary exhibition.

It's Pimpa's real home beating heart of the exhibition inaugurated in Udine on the occasion of the 50th birthday of the legendary red polka dot dog, born from genius of Francesco Tullio Altan. A complete home, composed of kitchen, bathroom, living room and the magical "room of dreams", where a screen projects the animated episodes in a loop of the series. Following is a series of illustrated panels they tell the birth and evolution of the character, while life-size cardboard cutouts allow everyone to take pictures photographs with Pimpa and her friends. The "Happy Birthday, Pimpa!" journey then continues with a soft area, a colorful tatami with cushions, where children they can play, read and participate in creative workshops and meetings included in the program of promoted collateral activities from the Municipality of Udine. Among those present at the inauguration was the Altan himself. The exhibition, produced and curated by the Municipality of Udine and Franco Cosimo Panini Editore in collaboration with Hamelin Cultural Association, Anna Ferri, Kika Tullio-Altan and Quipos, will remain open at the former church of San Francesco until the 8th December. "Udine - said the mayor, Alberto Felice De Toni - celebrates the greatness of an artist like Francesco Tullio Altan, who in his career managed to unite Italy even in the bitterest divisions. He managed to do this thanks to his great intelligence in understanding the reality that surrounded us, but also thanks to a brilliant humor that gave resonance to the values of sharing and curiosity promoted by Pimpa". The house of the Pimpa, added the mayor, "is a beautiful space of celebration and growth which at the same time demonstrates a commitment that our administration has taken on towards the families and children from Udine and Friuli. A journey built from educational services increasingly closer to families, events dedicated to the little ones and concrete strategies for the present and for the future".
