Marco Ansaldo is the new president of the Genoa Maritime Museum.

The mayor of Genoa, Silvia Salis appointed journalist Marco Ansaldo as the new president of the Sea Museum of the Ligurian capital for the next five years, with him on the board of directors Serena Bertolucci, Paolo Clerici, Maurizio Daccà and Anna Maria Dagnino. Journalist, geopolitical analyst and scientific advisor of Limes, Ansaldo is an expert on Türkiye, the Middle East and Vatican. He worked for the daily newspaper 'La Repubblica' as special envoy for international politics until 2022, correspondent in the Middle East until 2021, Vatican expert at the Holy See until 2016 and diplomatic correspondent to the Farnesina until 2003. Professor of foreign journalism at Luiss University from 1990 to 2018, he was president of the founding committee of Palazzo Ducale of Genoa and, from 2023, the probiviro of the National Press Federation. Author of essays, creator and curator of international conference cycles, as well as TV consultant on international diplomacy, Türkiye and the Vatican, Ansaldo is the founder of the Intergovernmental Dialogue Forum between Italy and Türkiye.
