June 3 is World Bicycle Day, a special occasion to rediscover the value (and pleasure) of one of the most sustainable and inclusive means of transport there is. Officially established by the United Nations in 2018, this celebration aims to raise awareness of the importance of active mobility and promote the use of two wheels not only for leisure, but also as a conscious choice for daily travel. And, as per tradition, the Oscar del Cicloturismo is awarded these days, which rewards the most virtuous Italian cycle paths (and Regions) in promoting and offering services for slow tourism. Here is a possible trip in stages on the Peninsula from North to South, between coasts, lakes, mountains, hills and countryside to discover by pedal.
