Tradate - Illness in the mountains above Bellinzona, 85-year-old from Tradate dies - Saronno/Tradate - Varese News
Franco Tedesco, 85 years old, resident of Tradate, died on Thursday 29 May 2025 during an excursion with the Italian Alpine Club (CAI) in the mountains above Bellinzona, in the Canton of Ticino.
The man suddenly fell ill during the trip. Despite the timely intervention of the rescuers, who alerted a helicopter to transport him to the hospital, every attempt at resuscitation was in vain . The news has caused deep grief in the community of Tradate.
The funeral will be on Tuesday 3 June at 10:30 am at the parish church of Sant'Anna di Ceppine.
