The Italian faces the American in the eighth finals of the English tournament

Lorenzo Sonego returns to the court at Wimbledon 2025 and today, Monday 7 July , he faces Ben Shelton in the round of 16 of the tournament live on TV and streaming. The Italian is coming off a sensational success against the American Brandon Nakashima, in a match that lasted over 5 hours. Sonego-Shelton, time and precedents

The match is scheduled for today on Court 1 , as the second in the program that opens at 2 pm . Sonego will take to the court after the Bencic-Alexandrova women's match: the Italian could start playing around 5 pm. In previous matches, the American leads 3-1 thanks to victories at the 2022 Cincinnati Masters 1000, the Australian Open and this year's Roland Garros. Sonego has beaten Shelton only at Roland Garros 2023.
