Roma midfielder Leandro Paredes has accepted a multi-year contract offer to return to his boyhood club Boca Juniors after his second two-season spell in the Italian capital with the Giallorossi, Football Italia understands.
Paredes close to securing Boca Juniors returnParedes, 30, has one year remaining on his current contract at the Stadio Olimpico, expiring at the end of the 2025-26 campaign.
However, he is unlikely to see out the remaining 12 months on his Giallorossi deal, as he has now accepted a three-year deal to return to his boyhood club Boca Juniors, where he spent 13 years of his career as a youth player and young professional.

Boca Juniors have been keen on bringing their former player back to La Bombanera for several months, and had looked at a deal with the Giallorossi in the January transfer window, Football Italia reported.
The next steps are effectively just formalities. Boca will need to meet the €3.5m clause in Paredes's contract, which the player only ever wanted Boca to activate.
Boca Juniors are currently in the United States for the FIFA Club World Cup, and so the deal is expected to be formalized in a few days' time.
What Paredes said about Boca Juniors
The Argentina international has not hidden his desire to return to Boca , commenting: “Of course the desire is there, but it does not depend on just one decision,” during a trip to Miami last week.
