Ischia, time for confirmation: against Monastir to give continuity to the rebirth.

Ischia Calcio is building on the momentum of their first win of the season. The three points earned against Latte Dolce have restored enthusiasm and confidence for the Gialloblù, but now they need to confirm their momentum.

Simone Corino's team returns to the Mazzella Stadium for the second consecutive match in front of their home crowd, aiming to continue their progress and climb a still-tight standings. Monastir, a compact and organized team, will be on the island, representing a significant test to gauge the Gialloblù's true growth. For Ischia, it was a week of regular work, finally a calm one after a difficult start to the season.

Training sessions took place in a more relaxed atmosphere, thanks in part to the new additions that have completed a squad that has been significantly revamped in recent months. After the early fall transfers, the club has completed several incoming deals to bolster the squad: defender Lonigro, midfielder Sidibe, and striker Manfrellotti are the new faces available to Corino. These additions add experience, physicality, and quality, and appear to have put an end to a long period of technical adjustment.

"Every game has its own story," Corino said at the press conference. The Gialloblù coach continued: "I'm aware that a victory changes perspective and feelings, but it shouldn't make us lose our composure. We'd already put in decent performances, but the result was lacking, and in football, we know that in the end, that's what counts. Against Latte Dolce, we defended well, we didn't concede, but we allowed avoidable situations. We need to learn to manage the moments of the game, to be more clinical, more clear-headed. Our performance needs to improve in many areas: defense, management, and offensive consistency."

The Opponent: Monastir. Monastir arrives at the Mazzella stadium in fifth place, a fitting reflection of their start to the season: thirteen points in eight games, the result of four wins, one draw, and three defeats. These numbers demonstrate a balanced and solid team: ten goals scored and eight conceded, an average that confirms the Sardinian team's lack of conceding, yet also their lack of prolific scoring. In the last round, they drew against Atletico Lodigiani, confirming their strong form.

Away from home, Monastir has recorded two wins (against Budoni and Latte Dolce, both in Sardinia) and two defeats (at Monteorotondo and Valmontone). A young, versatile team, capable of adapting to both a 4-3-3 and a 3-5-2 formation, combining athleticism with a good dose of experience in key positions.

"We're facing a worthy opponent, who until last week had some unavailable players but who, I believe, will recover several key players. They're a team that, despite having many under-25s, has quality and structure. I know them well: last year they won the Eccellenza championship via the playoffs, and I've had the opportunity to follow them closely. They're a well-organized group, with talented young players and a clear game plan," Corino emphasized.

The bond between the two clubs goes beyond the sporting challenge. Two seasons ago, when Monastir was still competing in the Promozione league, which they went on to win, the Sardinian club hosted Ischia several times at their facilities during training camps in Sardinia. A relationship of mutual respect and cordiality adds a touch of familiarity on the eve of the match.

Corino 's latest lineup is expected to confirm a 4-3-3 formation, with Mariani in goal following Gemito's extended absence. Trofa and Castagna, who were injured in recent days, are also sidelined. Manfrellotti could immediately make his way up front, supported by Kone and Boiano.

In midfield, Montanino has the upper hand in the playmaker role, with Gille and Di Lauro flanking him, but watch out for Aniceto, who could move up the tactical ladder. However, all eyes are on Aboubacar Sidibe, the midfielder arriving from Sancataldese, a team in Group I of Serie D. Corino specifically wanted him to strengthen the midfield and provide the necessary structure to keep Ischia afloat, along with the new defensive and attacking additions. In defense, the battle is still open: Chiariello, Aijo, and Lonigro are vying for starting spots, while Fontanelli and Buono are competing for the flanks.

The match will be officiated by Emanuele Velocci of the Frosinone section, assisted by assistants Marco Martino (Roma 1) and Piergiorgio Stotani (Viterbo).
