Ferrari pit stop mix-up in Singapore: Leclerc rear-ends Norris, penalty pending

Ferrari's weekend in Singapore got off to a bad start. A pit-stop mix-up during the second free practice session will almost certainly result in a grid penalty for Charles Leclerc : the Monegasque driver, exiting his sector, touched Lando Norris 's McLaren, which crashed into the pit lane barrier. Leclerc is under investigation and risks a grid penalty (expected to be two to five places) for an unsafe release . The Briton is not to blame because the Ferrari driver was given the green light to exit the garage just as the MCL39 was passing.

Piastri the fastest

In the second session, Oscar Piastri (1'30"714) was fastest. Behind McLaren driver Isaac Hadjar (+0.132 seconds), Max Verstappen (+0.143 seconds). Charles Leclerc was ninth after the collision, while Lewis Hamilton finished tenth.
