Artificial Intelligence and the Free Market: a Senate debate with experts and institutions

The conference entitled “ Artificial Intelligence: opportunities and challenges for a free market ” was held yesterday in the prestigious Sala Koch of Palazzo Madama, seat of the Senate of the Republic.
The event, organized on the initiative of Senator Lucio Malan, president of the Brothers of Italy Group in the Senate, was promoted within the activities of the Republican Liberty Caucus Italy, led by President Guido George Lombardi.
The conference brought together experts, institutional representatives and stakeholders in the sector for an open discussion on the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in promoting a free, competitive and inclusive market. At the centre of the debate were crucial issues such as access to technologies, education in digital skills and innovation opportunities for businesses and citizens.
Among the event's partners, the National Association of Young Innovators (ANGI) brought its contribution through the speech of President Gabriele Ferrieri, who underlined the importance of an integrated approach to seize the opportunities offered by AI.

As ANGI, we believe that it is essential to invest in digital education and inclusive access to new technologies to ensure that AI becomes a driver of sustainable growth and an opportunity for all. Constant dialogue between institutions, businesses and young innovators is needed to build a free and competitive market, where innovation is at the service of the community .”
The event, moderated by Espedito D'Antò, saw the participation of authoritative speakers, including Antonio Baldelli (Transport, Post and Telecommunications Commission), Francesco Caico (Synapsia AI System), Veronica Pamio, Guido Perboli (director IceLab PoliTo), Angelo Deiana (president Confassociazioni, president Oia), Lorenza Morello Gottarelli (president Apm), Katia Lopetti (ceo TheFace 5.0), Raimondo Grassi (president Tea Energia, vice president Ase Aerospace) and Celeste Lo Turco (expert on Sovereign Funds Ksa).
The conference represented a moment of reflection and proposal, highlighting the need for a collaborative approach to address the challenges and capitalize on the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence, with the aim of promoting a free market and a more innovative future for Italy.
