Last June 3, the Dante secondary school (IC Varese 5) celebrated the Day of Excellence. A significant moment that has become a tradition for the middle school in the city center, dedicated to recognizing the commitment, talent and passion of students who have distinguished themselves in the scholastic, sports and cultural fields.
Headmistress Patrizia Iotti opened the ceremony with a welcome speech and a reflection on the meaning of the day, while the Solevoci choir accompanied the main moments of the ceremony with three performances, helping to create an atmosphere of celebration and sharing.
THE AWARDSSport
As for the most popular team sports, basketball and soccer, awards were given to the boys and girls who successfully participated in several interschool tournaments: Three against three, Varese School Cup U14 – for which the students of the Dance Crew also received a special recognition – and Sport in Rete di Induno Olona. The students of the cross-country race and the Andolfatto relay for Athletics were also awarded.
STEM subjects and logic
Problem Solving Olympics (OPS): students who participated and won both at regional and national level, distinguishing themselves in individual and group competitions, were awarded.

The numerous students who reached the national semi-finals of the Mathematical Games were also awarded, with a special mention to the student who participated in the national final.
And special attention was given to the excellent results obtained by the students at the provincial final in Venegono of the Technical Drawing Championships : a student from Dante will represent the Province of Varese at the national final in October in Rieti.

Supplementary activities
Awards also involved classes 2C and 2E in the Como Workshop and the ASD Chess Tournament.
The ceremony concluded with a group photo and final greetings, in an atmosphere of satisfaction and pride for the results achieved by the students.
