Schlein among the workers in Forlì: "Meloni is lying, on wages she tells of a country that does not exist"

Eve of May Day. On one side, Giorgia Meloni in a video announces "1.2 billion from Inail" for workplace safety allocated. On the other, the secretary of the Democratic Party Elly Schlein among the workers of a furniture company in Forlì. Who attacks the prime minister: "There are no more excuses, Meloni cannot continue to lie, as she did again today on the wage issue by describing a country that does not exist, by saying that there is no wage problem and that wages are increasing. Only yesterday, Istat data told us that wages are still 8% lower than in 2021", she says from Forlì at the picket of Giuliani workers who today reached a union agreement for the stabilization of dozens of precarious workers.
"How can you say that families and workers are recovering purchasing power when we also have the cost of the most expensive bills in Europe and workers pay them three times - Schlein continues, commenting again on the Prime Minister's words - when they receive tripled bills at home, when they go shopping and inflation makes it harder for them to buy every product and when companies get into difficulty and because of energy costs they put workers on redundancy. So - he concludes - Meloni continues to tell the story of the Wonderland that unfortunately does not exist. There are no more excuses, we need to stand by these workers and the unions that are fighting to improve wages in Italy".
In an interview with Repubblica , the Democratic Party secretary relaunched the proposal on the minimum wage. Relaunched again today: "We have collected more than one hundred thousand signatures from real citizens, there is a law of unitary popular initiative proposed by the opposition, the government has the duty to schedule it. No more postponements, let's discuss the minimum wage immediately". And welcomed by the opposition , from her party to Avs.
