Ben & Jerry's Co-Founder Expelled From US Congress

A group of protesters interrupted testimony from Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. yesterday as he presented his department’s budget proposal. Kennedy was speaking to the committee when the riots began, with some chanting, “RFK kills people with AIDS!” and “RFK kills people with hate.” Capitol Police quickly entered the room and began removing protesters. Moments later, Ben Cohen, co-founder of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream and a longtime progressive activist, stood up and accused the U.S. government of complicity in the deaths of children in Gaza. He was handcuffed and escorted out of the Capitol by Capitol Police.
