Italy is entering a summer weekend, but with temperatures that pose no health risks . In the last heatwave bulletin of the week, the Ministry of Health has placed a green flag (level 0 of danger) on all 27 provincial capitals monitored for today, Saturday, July 12.
On Sunday the 13th, two yellow weather alerts will reappear in Ancona and Cagliari. These will be the first cities on the peninsula to warm up, despite a Level 1 "pre-alert" warning, indicating "weather conditions that may precede the onset of a heat wave."
An initial slight drop in pressure will favor the development of some thunderstorms. Until this afternoon, we'll experience a normal, fully summery phase with mostly sunny skies; then, a double attack will cause unusual thunderstorms in the heart of summer . As early as the evening of Saturday, July 12th, some storms will reach the Adriatic coast, but the weather will change especially on Sunday. This will be a temporary storm: starting Monday, the weather should return to being sunny, dry, and gradually warmer.
