Contesteco 2025, the sustainable art and design exhibition in Rome until October 15th.

The sixth edition of the Sustainability Festival in Rome continues in September and runs until October 15th. This year, titled "Make a Difference, There Is… In Search of Sustainability ," it is organized by the Percorsi di Crescita Cultural Association and promoted by the Rome City Council – Department of Culture . The initiative offers a series of events that combine art, culture, and social commitment, engaging the public in a journey of reflection and action. Through artistic contests, exhibitions, workshops, and inclusion projects, the festival invites everyone to contribute to proposing actions that lead to positive change for our planet.
As part of the Festival, the project also gives voice to artists who choose to use their creativity to raise public awareness of sustainability issues. This is the case with Contesteco 2025 , the sustainable art and design contest, which brings together artists from various disciplines who, with their works, reinterpret the concept of sustainability and invite reflection on our relationship with the environment.
Now in its 15th edition, Contesteco is the creative heart of the Festival: a contest and exhibition of sustainable art and design where artists, designers, and enthusiasts present works that respect the principles of sustainable development. In 2025, the initiative was guided by the concept "Open Doors to the Future: Peace, Justice, Regeneration, and Sustainability."
"We live in complex times: social crises, wars, artificial intelligence, climate change, difficult ecological and generational transitions. In this scenario, Contesteco does not seek to provide answers; on the contrary, it seeks to ask questions, spark reflections, and encourage new visions, through the universal languages of art and creativity," reads a statement.
What "doors" must we open to imagine a future of peace, justice, and inclusion? In what direction is the present pushing us? Contesteco, therefore, aims to be an experience that becomes the engine of a new cultural regeneration: a "pause for thought" in a world that is fast-paced, to reclaim our time and rethink together our relationship with the Earth, with others, and with ourselves.
The competing works, selected by a qualified jury, will be exhibited to the public at the DOMUS Shopping Centre and will remain visible until October 15th.
