"Sound of Legend," the works of the great soundtrack composer on Tuesday at the Sforza Castle

Ready to board the pirate ship with Hans Florian Zimmer ? For Summer at the Castle, Tuesday evening features the concert-show "Sounds of Legends" featuring the Oscar-winning music of the great German film composer. This absolutely unique and unmissable show respects and celebrates the special blend of pop-rock, classical, ethnic, and electronic sounds in Zimmer's compositions, which are also characteristic of the composer's live performances around the world. It offers the joy that only music that is both sublime and popular, combined with the thrill of images on the big screen, can create.

Twenty young musicians, trained at Italy's most prestigious academies and with top-level experience under their belt, will take to the stage, unleashing a wave of fun and emotion. Marco Rampoldi, the show's creator and director, has assembled a team of Italian musical talents: musical director Diego Maggi, whose career spans highly successful productions, international events, and a long-standing collaboration with Elio e le Storie Tese; and Gianluca Sambataro, a choir director (particularly gospel) with unparalleled experience in Italy. The audio direction is by Andrea Pellegrini and Marco Gorini, both highly sought-after sound engineers throughout Europe.

Hans Zimmer's soundtracks have contributed to the success of iconic films—from the "Pirates of the Caribbean" saga to Christopher Nolan's masterpieces "Inception," "Interstellar," and the "Batman trilogy"—and have won Oscars for "Dune" and "The Lion King," as well as breaking the all-time record for a soundtrack with "Gladiator." In addition to two Oscars, Zimmer has received a BAFTA Award, five Grammy Awards, and has been nominated for three Emmy Awards and a Tony Award. Zimmer was also included in the Daily Telegraph's list of the 100 greatest living geniuses.

His works are known for integrating electronic music sounds with traditional orchestral arrangements. In Santa Monica, California, where he has long lived, he has a wide array of computer equipment and keyboards, allowing him to quickly create demo versions of soundtracks. From the 1980s to the present, Zimmer has composed music for over 150 films.
