Stani Verde signs the "Forian Thursday" exemption ordinance, with music until 2:00 a.m.

As expected, the "Forian Thursdays" have been extended until August 28th. After the "failure" of an appeal to the Regional Administrative Court (TAR) filed by some residents of the nightlife area, Mayor Stani Verde signed a new ordinance in June to allow the initiative to resume. This new ordinance allows outdoor music until 2:00 a.m., but only for "Forian Thursdays."
That provision provided for an exemption until July 10th, but now the new mayoral ordinance, adopted right on the expiration date, has arrived, extending it until August 28th.

The reasons are identical. First, the mayor invokes Mayoral Ordinance No. 119 of June 10, 2019, regarding "Ordinance concerning the regulation of musical entertainment activities in public establishments within the municipal territory," from which exceptions are permitted.
It then highlights: "Considering that this is a time of year traditionally characterized by an increase in tourism in the area, this phase is expected to represent a great opportunity to enhance local resources, which would also contribute to the growth of the entire community; Considering that it is the Municipal Administration's desire to support and promote initiatives aimed at improving, enriching, strengthening, and diversifying the tourism offering, with the goal of making the visitor experience more attractive and engaging; Considering that these events have already been offered in the past and constitute a weekly event that makes Forio a hub for tourists and residents, as well as a moment of social aggregation; Considering the resonance in terms of participation in the aforementioned events, which is just one of the many positive effects observed, as well as those recorded in the economic, social, employment, and tourism sectors."
Stani Verde then recalls the ordinance adopted in June, "considering the need to follow up on the provisions of the aforementioned ordinance, given the significant citizen participation in the initiative thus far."
And it has decided to take action "in order to increase employment opportunities in various sectors, while also allowing for the growth of tourism activities and the number of qualified personnel in response to the needs of the broad tourism offering, particularly aimed at young people, residents, and tourists." Therefore, it orders "to allow public establishments located in the so-called "Movida" area (Via Marina and Via Cesare Calise) to perform musical activities outside their premises, by way of derogation and on an exceptional basis and limited to the so-called "Giovedì Foriani" (Forian Thursdays) until 2:00 a.m.; The performance of musical and dance entertainment activities, both inside and outside public establishments, must take place in full compliance with the limits established by Prime Ministerial Decree 16/04/1999 n. 215, and must not in any way generate acoustic emissions exceeding the maximum values established by the Acoustic Zoning Plan approved by CC Resolution n. 2 of 27/01/2005." An immediately enforceable ordinance to allow the "Forian Thursdays" to continue at least until August 28th. Perhaps pending further evaluations for the late summer period.
