South Korea Highway Bridge Collapses, At Least Two Dead
A bridge under construction in the city of Cheonan, South Korea , has collapsed, killing at least two workers and injuring seven others. Ten people were working on an elevated highway construction site about 90 kilometers (56 miles) south of Seoul when a section of the structure collapsed, trapping workers under debris, the National Fire Agency said. Acting President Choi Sang-mok urged authorities to mobilize all available personnel and equipment to rescue the workers and launched an investigation into the bridge collapse.
