In Milan, smog continues to skyrocket: the situation

The air quality in Milan is terrible. On Sunday, February 23, the Arpa monitoring stations recorded concentrations of fine dust above the limits set at 50 micrograms per cubic meter. The average of PM10 detected in the shadow of the Madonnina was 81.12 µg/m³.
The presence of fine dust, however, is not uniform and varies depending on the area of the city: 95 µg/m³ in viale Marche, 80 in Città Studi, 81 in via Senato, 90 in Verziere. This, however, is the situation recorded outside the city: 87 µg/m³ in Limito di Pioltello, 95 in Cassano d'Adda, 59 in Turbigo and 62 in Magenta.
For the moment, no anti-smog measures are active as per the Lombardy Region Air Protocol. The first stop is triggered after five consecutive days of fine dust concentrations above the threshold and currently there are four consecutive days with illegal air.
