Here is the RB21, the first post-Newey Red Bull. In the name of continuity

One day before the start of pre-season testing , here is the RB21, the new Red Bull single-seater with which Max Verstappen will try to defend his title as reigning world champion, supported by his teammate Liam Lawson. The presentation of the Anglo-Austrian team, as per tradition, was minimal: a few photos taken at the Milton Keynes headquarters and little else. Even the livery , already unveiled at the O2 Arena in London, is substantially identical to the one used last season, marking a line of continuity with the 2024 single-seater.
The RB21 is the first car from Milton Keynes born without the brilliant hand of Adrian Newey, who moved to Aston Martin in September 2024. An important challenge for the tandem composed of Enrico Balbo and Pierre Waché, respectively head of aerodynamics and technical director of the team, called upon to take up the cumbersome legacy of the English designer and, above all, to revive the fortunes of a team that seemed rather lost at the end of last season. At Red Bull, the focus has thus been on solving the many balance problems that in 2024 forced Verstappen to use all his talent to defend the title from the aggressive Norris, without upsetting the RB20 project.
Despite the deliberately dark images released by the team, it is noticeable how some components, such as the cooling vents of the radiant masses, have been inherited from the 2024 car, confirming the choice to evolve last year's project without overdoing it. The "cannons" that the RB20 showed off on the upper part of the bonnet are absent, with the Anglo-Austrian team that seems to have opted for a solution more similar to the one inaugurated in the second half of last championship. While waiting to take part in the three days of pre-season testing, the new Red Bull will take to the track on the Sahkir circuit in Bahrain today for a 200 km filming day .
