From greenery to culture: "The hub after the park. This is how the city center is changing."

The mayor of Cerro Maggiore announces approval for the second lot.
The project for the second phase of the Parco dell'Acqua has been approved: a new cultural center will be created. Cerro Maggiore continues to redesign the beating heart of the city. Following the resounding success of the inauguration of the Parco di Villa Dell'Acqua, much appreciated by the families and young people who liven it up every day, the Municipality has given the green light to the executive project for the second phase, destined to further transform the area into a cultural center.
The announcement comes directly from Mayor Giuseppina Berra (pictured), who emphasizes how the new project represents a key step in the redevelopment of the town center: "The new design for Cerro's center continues to take shape. Following the success of the park, we have approved the project that will make Villa Dell'Acqua even more beautiful and our cultural center more recognizable. Next to the library, an open space will be created for reading or relaxing. And then, a completely new development: a facility dedicated to events, parties, and conferences. A meeting place that will transform Cerro, becoming a symbol of change."
The new project includes not only the aesthetic and functional redevelopment of the area, but also the rediscovery of its historic features. Among the new features is the restoration of the old, once-buried fountain, which will once again enhance the green space with a recreational area. Public Works Councilor Vincenzo Stragapede explained the changes in detail: "It wasn't easy to outdo the recently inaugurated park, but the project that will complete the library area speaks for itself. In addition to restoring the fountain, we will be adding high-quality paving that will further enhance the historic villa, which has already been restored. The goal is to make it a vibrant and lived-in square."
The project also received the appreciation of the Superintendency, whose experts supported the Administration by providing valuable suggestions and guidance to respect and enhance the historical heritage of the Villa and its Park. The new cultural center of Cerro Maggiore will not only be a collection of functional spaces but also a symbolic place, capable of uniting memory and future, culture and sociality. A project that, step by step, is changing the face of the city.
