Drugs in prison: Carabinieri operation, over one hundred investigated

Since the early hours of the morning, the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Turin with the Regional Investigative Unit of the Penitentiary Police of Turin have been carrying out a vast operation in the provinces of Turin, Alessandria, Biella, Vercelli, Cuneo, Sassari, Savona Imperia and Modena, with the execution of search warrants in both homes and penal institutions.

According to reports, the operation, coordinated by the Turin Prosecutor's Office, concerns an investigation that sees among the suspects more than one hundred people suspected of drug trafficking and other crimes committed inside prisons.
