Bike sharing and rental scooters, the ranking has been published: here is the winner

The management resolution approving the results of the evaluation of the expressions of interest relating to the implementation of the bike sharing and scooter service in the Municipality of Padua and in the territory of Co.Me.Pa. has been published, as per the public notice published on March 28th.

The Technical Commission responsible for evaluating the applications received, after having examined them, has defined a ranking based on the award criteria set out in art. 21 of the notice, as follows:

2. Economic Operator RideMovi spa - Score 81.89
3. Economic Operator Bit Mobility srl - Score 76.75
4. Economic Operator Lime Technology Srl - Score 58.68

We recall that the notice published by the Municipality of Padua at the end of March envisaged the extension of the service to the municipalities of Co.Me.Pa, the metropolitan conference of Padua, and the participating municipalities are Albignasego, Cadoneghe, Casalserugo, Legnaro, Limena, Mestrino, Ponte San Nicolò, Rubano, Selvazzano Dentro, Vigonza and Vigodarzere. The notice concerned the three types of vehicles already in circulation, namely muscular bicycles, pedal-assisted bicycles, electric scooters and envisaged the assignment of the service to a single operator, unlike what happened up to now, where there were three operators active in the territory.

The Notice also provided for a maximum overall fleet of 2,200 vehicles in the capital city and an additional 1,165 vehicles located in the 11 participating neighboring municipalities. The fleet of the Municipality of Padua was to be made up specifically of 1,000 pedal-assisted bicycles, 500 muscle-pedaled bicycles or other means, including pedal-assisted bicycles, and 700 electric scooters. The sharing mobility service will be implemented according to the “free floating” scheme with limitations, that is, no-parking zones will be established and, in certain areas of both Padua and other municipalities, specific parking areas are planned, virtual stations where the collection and return of vehicles will be permitted. Following the positive outcome of the technical checks provided for by the public Notice and following the complete conclusion of the obligations incumbent on the parties, a specific management provision will be issued to authorize the performance of the planned activities, which will therefore start after the summer.
