Audenge: Marie-Jo de Neuville's paintings will be exhibited at the Cabane bleue

Marie-Jo de Neuville is a regular at the Cabane Bleue. From July 26 to August 1 , she will once again be in Audenge, where she will exhibit around twenty paintings, including ten new ones. Her passion for the marine world remains intact. The play of light on water remains her favorite theme, endlessly varied. However, "I try not to let myself be confined by my favorite subjects. I also explore anything that allows me to give free rein to the search for the illusion of matter: old wood, rust, tiles covered in oysters," says the artist. The nostalgic evocation of shipwrecks and "things in the process of disappearing" that linger in ports will be very present. Her deliberately figurative paintings are often hyperrealistic and sometimes trompe-l'oeil. Their purpose is to share with visitors the melancholy felt by the painter in front of these witnesses of an era in the process of dissolving. Marie-Jo de Neuville has a permanent studio in Lanton, in the Marina de Cassy.
