Arcachon Bay: The Musical Escapades end at the foot of the Cap Ferret lighthouse

After five weeks, and after already 13 concerts, the Musical Escapades will end this Saturday with a concert by young musicians at the foot of the Cap Ferret lighthouse.

For five weeks, the Musical Escapades offered fifteen concerts all around the Arcachon Bay, some free, others paid, both in the Marc Mauresque in Arcachon and in the Birabeille Park in Mios. And these Escapades will conclude this Saturday evening with a closing concert at the foot of the Cap Ferret lighthouse.

Musician Pejman Memarzadeh , founder and director of Les Escapades, is quite pleased with this 2025 edition: "The quality of the concerts was very impressive, both in terms of the diversity of the repertoire offered and the performance of the musicians. In addition, we were blessed by the gods with the weather!" Not like in the summer of 2024. Les Escapades indeed love the outdoors, "to bring together music and an exceptional place like there are many on the Bassin." Satisfaction also regarding the attendance of the public: "We broke records for free concerts. We counted more than 650 people in Mios this year. For paid concerts, we can say, before the last two big concerts in Arcachon and Cap Ferret, that the ticket sales were stable."

This Saturday evening, the closing concert will take place at the foot of the Cap Ferret lighthouse. "We're shining a spotlight on extraordinary young talents who haven't yet been fully recognized," assures Pejman Memarzadeh. "In a few years, these young artists will be inaccessible. With us, it's a recognition of their already remarkable career. Soprano Emy Gazeilles has already performed on major opera stages, and we're lucky to have her with us this Saturday evening."

The concert, promises the founder of Escapades, will be festive: "We will have arias from amorous operas, a program for the general public, luminous and intergenerational. It's a repertoire of light that will brighten up the summer. The genius of Mozart will dazzle us!" The concert at the lighthouse also promises Rossini, Puccini, Schubert, Myslivecek, Satie, but, it's true, above all Mozart.
